Mission Statement The mission of the North Carolina Association of Physicians of Indian Origin is to provide a professional association for physicians from the Indian subcontinent (including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives etc.) practicing medicine in North Carolina. The NCAPI will actively seek to improve the job and practice conditions and professional careers of these physicians. It will also be a proactive body of physicians who will seek to improve health care for the patients of all physicians in North Carolina. The NCAPI is a component society of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and hence is an integral part of the nationwide organization of physicians of Indian origin. The NCAPI will work closely with the IMG Section of the NC Medical Society towards the above goals. The NCAPI will be open as a physician's Association to both International and American medical graduates of Asian Indian origin. Graduates of American Medical Schools who are not ethnically of Asian Indian origin are welcome to become honorary members of our association. The NCAPI will not make any profits out of its activities. It will not practice or tolerate any discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation and country of origin. The NCAPI will conduct educational activities (CME) open to all physicians in the United States of America. These activities will be conducted both in the continental United States as well as places and cities outside the US boundaries which are deemed satisfactory for the conduct of CME activities by the CME Committee. The NCAPI will undertake charitable activities with regard to professional and continuing medical education in USA and abroad at the discretion of its Board of Directors.
